Thornton caps Clash on the Coast in third

Dylan Thornton’s Florida trip continued on Tuesday as Blackwater Speedway (formerly Northwest Florida Speedway) hosted the second round of the IMCA Clash On The Coast.

Thornton had a tough pill draw in his heat race, following an eighth-to-fourth run with a sixth-to-second effort in his B-Main. He carried that same speed into the 25-lap feature, passing eight cars to finish 12th.

The action then shifted to Alabama’s Deep South Speedway on Friday and Saturday, where Thornton posted an impressive 17th-to-fourth charge in Friday’s feature before wrapping up the weekend with a seventh-place finish on Saturday.

Thornton finished third in the Clash on the Coast point standings.
