Thornton earns IMCA Modified Winter Nationals championship

The final four rounds of the IMCA.tv Winter Nationals powered by Pitt Stop Motorsports & Dynamic Drivelines resumed this past weekend at Central Arizona Raceway, and Dylan Thornton picked up right where he left off—on the podium.

Following a Wednesday night heat victory, Thornton opened the weekend with a solid third-place finish.

He returned to form on Thursday, winning his heat race over Mike Wedelstadt before leading nine laps in the feature. Thornton reclaimed the top spot from Brandon Beckendorf on lap 21 and pulled away to secure his fourth win of the season in the 25-lap main event

Thornton capped off the final two rounds with a third-place finish on Friday and a fifth-place result on Saturday, performances that ultimately secured him the IMCA Modified Winter Nationals championship.
