Thornton tackles World Finals at Charlotte
Dylan Thornton took his DRT Race Cars No. 13 Late Model into action this past weekend at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the 19th annual World Finals.
With Wednesday’s program setting preliminary lineups for Thursday and Friday, Thornton got off to a slow start, falling short of a transfer spot into Thursday’s opener with a ninth-place finish in his B-Main.
On Friday, the California native showed improvement. After finishing seventh in his heat race, he charged from seventh to fourth in his B-Main, missing a transfer position by just two spots.
Thornton’s weekend concluded on Saturday with another fourth-place finish in his B-Main during the $25,000-to-win finale program.
