Top-10 finish in Harvest Hustle at Marshalltown
California native Dylan Thornton took on Marshalltown Speedway over the weekend, chasing his 17th win of the season during the two-day Fast Shafts Harvest Hustle on the High Banks.
Friday’s program featured dual heat races to set the lineup for Saturday’s main event. Thornton dominated his first heat, leading flag-to-flag, but mechanical issues in the second round relegated him to a fifth-place finish.
Returning to action on Saturday, Thornton earned his spot in the finale through a last-chance qualifier and went on to finish eighth on a narrow racing surface in the 25-lap main event.
