Dylan Thornton tackles MARS doubleheader

Dylan Thornton returned to the driver’s seat of the Kay Motorsports No. 38T Late Model this past weekend, heading to Illinois for a MARS Racing Series doubleheader.

In Friday’s Seivers JCB Diggin’ Dirt 40 at Brownstown Bullring, Thornton struggled in his heat race but rebounded in his B-Main, transferring into the feature with a second-place finish. He then charged forward 10 positions in the 40-lap main event to finish seventh.

At Peoria Speedway on Saturday for the Garry Swibold Memorial, Thornton backed up a fourth-place heat race finish with an 11th-place result in the $5,098-to-win A-Main.
